PROFILE - CAROLYN POLLITT

Carolyn PollittI started lessons in Porcelain Art with teacher Dorothy Rutter in Perth in 1977 and continued with her in Busselton, after moving there, as Dorothy came to Busselton once a month to teach on a Saturday.

I joined the Busselton Porcelain Group and painted with them on a weekly basis for some years and also attended many workshops held in Busselton by Prominent Perth Porcelain Artists who participated under the Arts Access Program in the 1980s.

I have now been painting and teaching for 40 years and have become a member of APAT (Australasian Porcelain Art Teacher’s Assn) and exhibited at two of their Conventions in recent years.

I teach beginners at the Busselton Art Society Porcelain Group.

I have won Awards at the Busselton Show and Art in the Park and in 2018 was asked to Demonstrate Porcelain Painting at the Perth Royal Show.
