Image Brenda CaelliA retired farmer from Ravensthorpe on the south coast of Western Australia, Brenda now resides and teaches porcelain painting in Albany.

Although known for painting a wide variety of subjects, Brenda developed a great knowledge of Australian native flora and fauna while farming in the Great Southern district of Western Australia. This area is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, much of it unique to the region and boasts some of the States most impressive national parks such as the Stirling Range and Fitzgerald River National Parks. The latter adjacent to the property Brenda farmed for many years, giving her a first-hand understanding of this diverse environment. An avid photographer, Brenda photographs many subjects which are later used as inspiration in her studio.

Her paintings of Australian flora and fauna are well known and have been the recipient of numerous awards over the years. Her designs make good use of the wide variety of products and techniques available to the modern china painter and give Brenda’s work a modern and distinctive style.

Brenda is the current President of the Albany Porcelain Art Group which host an annual three-day workshop. She also runs workshops and lessons from her studio in Albany.
